Yan Yu

Yuyan (she/her/hers) received her J.D. from Cardozo School of Law, where she was a Cardozo Scholar and a Public Service Scholar. While at Cardozo, Yuyan participated in the Immigration Justice Clinic, representing individuals in deportation and related proceedings, and was a member of the Animal Legal Defense Fund advocating for animal rights. During law school, Yuyan interned at The Legal Aid Society, CAMBA, and Animal Outlook. Prior to joining The Bronx Defenders, she was a Law Graduate at the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House representing low-income New Yorkers and their families in Housing Court proceedings. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
