Scott Templin


Scott Templin received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. During law school, Scott worked on behalf of a client on death row as a member of Berkeley Law’s Death Penalty Clinic. He represented young people in delinquency and school discipline proceedings in the East Bay Community Law Center’s Youth Defender Clinic. Scott also directed Berkeley Law’s Workers’ Rights Clinic. He served as a law clerk with the Orleans Public Defenders, the Bronx Defenders, and the Contra Costa County Public Defender’s Office. Before attending law school, Scott worked at the Embassy of Japan. Later, he aided criminal justice reform as a fellow at the ACLU of Michigan. Scott received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He speaks Japanese and Swedish.
