Rurik Asher Baumrin


Asher (he/him/his) received his J.D. with high honors and Order of the Coif from George Washington University Law School, where he was a student attorney at the Jacob Burns Prisoner & Re-entry Clinic, Managing Editor of the George Washington Journal of Environmental and Energy Law, and a founding member of the George Washington People’s Parity Project. While in law school, he interned with the New York City Department of Social Services Office of Legal Affairs, the New York County Defender Services, and The Bronx Defenders Family Defense Practice. Before law school, Asher worked as a legislative aide and constituent liaison for a New York State Senator in Manhattan and worked as a paralegal at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen, and Loewy LLP. He received his B.A. in Philosophy with general honors from The University of Chicago.
