Quiniva Smith


Quiniva Smith (she, her, hers),received her J.D. from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law, where she represented clients petitioning the New York Office of the Governor for clemency. She also worked in the Family Defense Practice at Brooklyn Defenders Services for four years as a litigation assistant and paralegal. At BDS, Quiniva represented clients in administrative hearings that were facing unemployment because of their names being on the New York State Central Registry. During law school, Quiniva interned at Bronx Defenders in the criminal defense and family defense practices. She received her B.A. in Political Science and History from Marymount Manhattan College.
