Nora Searle


Nora (She, Her, Hers) received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was a Root Tilden Kern scholar. During law school, Nora participated in the Immigrant Rights Clinic and Advanced Immigrant Rights Clinic, and received an Ann Petluck Poses Memorial Prize for clinical work. She spent her summers interning with the East Bay Community Law Center’s Clean Slate Practice and the Alameda County Office of the Public Defender. At NYU, Nora was a Student Articles Development Editor with the Review of Law and Social Change and an advocate with the Identity Documents Project. Prior to law school, Nora worked in the areas of federal public defense and the rights of people in prison. Nora graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College with a B.A. in urban history. Nora is a current Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow. She is fluent in Spanish.
