Marlena Santos


Marlena Santos (she/her/hers) received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern Public Interest Scholar. At NYU, Marlena participated in two year-long clinics: the Family Defense Clinic and the Juvenile Defender Clinic. In addition, she was a Casebook Research and Writing Editor with the NYU Moot Court Board. Marlena spent her summers interning with the family defense practices at Brooklyn Defender Services and The Bronx Defenders. Prior to law school, Marlena worked as a paralegal in the Disability Advocacy Project at the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), where she represented clients in Social Security Disability appeals and benefit terminations. Marlena graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in Philosophy.
