Lizzie Bright


Lizzie graduated cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law, where she served as co-president of the school’s LGBTQ organization Outlaw, executive editor on the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology (JCLC), and member of the moot court team. Lizzie’s article on gender non-conforming prisoners won the annual Leigh Bienen prize for best student note published by JCLC. During law school, Lizzie interned at Community Activism Law Alliance in Chicago, the Public Defender Service of D.C.’s Prisoner and Reentry Unit, and the Cook County Public Defender. Lizzie also completed a semester at the Bluhm Legal Clinic’s Children and Family Justice Center. Lizzie graduated from the University of Chicago and worked as a grant manager for a community health center in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood before law school.
