Katherine Azcona


Katherine (she/her/hers) received her J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law. While in law school, she participated in the Immigrant and Non-Citizens Rights Clinic representing clients in removal and immigration proceedings and in the International Refugee Assistance Program preparing SIV applications and conducting intakes. Katherine was also a student attorney at the CUNY CLEAR Project, where she advocated for Muslim, Arab, and South Asian communities targeted by law enforcement. Additionally, she was a Notes & Comments Editor for the CUNY Law Review. After law school, Katherine clerked for Judge Jaribu Hill, Catholic Charities, and Brooklyn Defenders Services. Prior to law school, she worked as a paralegal for a personal injury firm. Katherine graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in International Relations and Human Rights from the City University of New York Baccalaureate Program for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies. She is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French.
