Karla Ostolaza
Karla returns to The Bronx Defenders from The Legal Aid Society where she supervised a team of NYIFUP attorneys and paralegals and assisted in managing the program. Before joining the management team, she represented detained adults and children in deportation proceedings. Karla was previously a staff attorney and an Immigrant Justice Corps fellow at The Bronx Defenders, where she represented immigrants in detained removal proceedings through NYIFUP, provided immigration advice to clients with pending criminal and family court matters, and assisted community members with their immigration cases through community intake. She received her J.D. from Cardozo School of Law. Karla holds a B.A. in Art History the The University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras.
