Julema LaForce


Julema LaForce (she/her/hers) received her J.D. from City University of New York School of Law. While in law school, she represented individuals with their parole hearings and appeals in the Criminal Defense Clinic. During her 1L summer, she interned with Lenox Hill Neighborhood House in their landlord and tenant division. In her 2L spring semester, she was a judicial intern to the Honorable Karen Gopee in Queens County Criminal Court. She spent her 2L summer interning at the Bronx Defenders in their Criminal Defense Practice. Throughout law school, Julema served in many roles, such as the Vice President of CUNY Moot Court and Treasurer of the Black Law Student Association and the Mississippi Project. She was also a staff editor of CUNY Law Review. Prior to law school, Julema interned at Bronx Housing Court and State Senator Gustavo Rivera’s office. Julema graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from the City College of New York.
