Dave Hanyok


Dave received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. Prior to joining the Bronx Defenders, he worked as a public defender with the Nassau County Legal Aid Society. While in law school, Dave represented people incarcerated in Massachusetts prisons disciplinary proceedings as a student attorney with the Prison Legal Assistance Project, where he was also a Policy Coordinator.  He also served as an Executive Managing Editor for the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, and he interned with the Juvenile Law Center and the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office.  Prior to law school, Dave worked as a Communications Associate for the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia. Dave received his undergraduate degree in Literatures & Cultures in English from Brown University.
