Daniel Amar Peña
Daniel Peña (he/him/his) earned his J.D. from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law where he was a Sorensen Center for International Peace and Justice Fellow and recipient of the South Asian Bar Association of New York’s Public Interest Fellowship and the Latin American Law Students Association Honorable Diccia T. Pineda-Kirwan Fellowship. While in law school, Daniel served as a Senior Staff Editor on the City University of New York Law Review and as a student attorney with the Immigrant & Non-Citizen Rights Clinic and Creating Law Enforcement Accountability & Responsibility (CLEAR). During his summers, he interned with the Legal Aid Society’s Immigration Law Unit, LatinoJustice PRLDEF, and the Immigrant Defense Project. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in International and Global Studies with a regional focus in the Middle East from Middlebury College.
