Daniel Amar Peña


Daniel ​​Peña (he/him/his) earned his J.D. from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law where he was a Sorensen Center for International​ Peace and​ Justice Fellow and recipient of the South Asian Bar Association of New York’s Public Interest Fellowship and ​the ​Latin American Law Students Association Honorable Diccia T. Pineda-Kirwan Fellowship. While in law school, Daniel served as a Senior Staff Editor on the City University of New York Law Review and as a student attorney with the Immigrant & Non-Citizen Rights Clinic and Creating Law Enforcement Accountability & Responsibility (CLEAR). During his summers, he interned with the Legal Aid Society’s Immigration Law Unit, LatinoJustice PRLDEF, and the Immigrant Defense Project.​ ​Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in International and Global Studies with a regional focus in the Middle East from Middlebury College.
