Conrad Blackburn


Conrad Blackburn (he/him/his) received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2018. There, he was an active member of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA), the Human Rights Law Society, and the Political Law Society. During law school, Conrad served as a Legal Intern with Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB), where he helped citizens of select countries in the Middle East advocate to the UN about complaints of International Human Rights Law violations. Following that, Conrad interned as a law clerk with both the Maryland Office of the Public Defender (OPD) and the Federal Public Defender for the District of Maryland. Conrad also completed the GW-Oxford Human Rights Law program, during which he studied International Human Rights and International Criminal Law at the University of Oxford in Oxfordshire, England. In his third year, Conrad participated in the D.C. Law Students in Court – Criminal Division clinic, where he served as a Student Attorney, representing indigent clients in misdemeanor and expungement cases. Conrad graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Florida in 2014, earning dual degrees in both Political Science and Philosophy.
