Chenisvel Nuñez


Chenisvel Nunez (She, her, hers), earned her MSW from New York University Silver School of Social Work in 2019. During her first year of graduate school, Chenisvel interned at Wediko Children’s Services. She provided individual and group counseling to middle and high school students at suspension sites and collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in the development of individualized treatment plans. In her second year, Chenisvel interned at Federal Defenders of New York, where she provided individual and group supportive counseling for detained pre-trial clients. She also developed written advocacy mitigation reports and reentry plans to support the defense strategy. Along with being a full-time graduate student, Chenisvel worked with America Achieves as a College Access and Success Intern helping high achieving, low and moderate-income students apply to and enroll in top colleges. Chenisvel earned her B.A in Criminology and Sociology from St. John Fisher College in 2017.
