Cecilia Riera

Cecilia Riera (she/her/hers) graduated from Monroe College with a Bachelor’s in Public Health. Prior to joining The Bronx Defenders, she was the Program Coordinator for the Unaccompanied Minors Program at Catholic Charities Community Services, where she provided support to immigrant children detained in federal custody pending their reunification with appropriate adult sponsors or transfer to long-term foster care. Cecilia also coordinated the Legal Orientation Program for Custodians (LOPC), helping new and potential sponsors understand their roles and the immigration court process. She is fluent in Spanish.
