Babatunde Aremu


Babatunde Aremu (he/him/his) received his J.D. from Duquesne University Law School in 2014, where he was a Summer Public Interest Fellow at the Allegheny County Solicitor’s Office and the Vice President of the Black Law Students Association. While in law school, Babatunde participated in the Civil Rights Law Clinic where he worked closely with the Pittsburgh chapter of the NAACP to engage in litigation and advocacy related to employment discrimination and criminal records expungement applications. In addition to law school, Babatunde has worked as a grassroots organizer, a constituent liaison for former U.S. Congresswoman Mary Jo Kilroy in Ohio, and a program associate for the Council of State Governments, Justice Center where he advocated for practical strategies to increase public safety and strengthen communities. Babatunde received his B.A. in Political Science from Ohio State University.
