Amelia Neumayer


Amelia (she/they/them) has extensive work and volunteer experience working against the detention and deportation of migrants. Prior to joining The Bronx Defenders, she supported Human Rights Watch’s Business and Human Rights division working to hold companies accountable for human rights abuses; spent 18 months working in Europe’s southern border in Morocco doing migrant solidarity organizing and research; and served as an immigration paralegal and partially accredited DOJ representative at Tahirih Justice Center, completing petitions for survivors of gender-based violence in Baltimore, Maryland. Amelia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Romance Languages from Mount Holyoke College. She speaks Spanish and French.
